
Job Description
Hill College is seeking committee members who play a vital role in the success and governance of Hill College Sporting, contributing to the Clubs culture, goals, and overall operations. They are expected to stay informed about all club activities, subcommittees, and the constitution, rules, and policies, ensuring they have a solid understanding of the legal and compliance obligations involved in running the club. Members help define the club's strategies, budgets, and objectives while promoting a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Committee members assist in maintaining club governance by overseeing health and safety, resolving complaints, and supporting volunteers in their roles. They collaborate with the President, Secretary, and other committee members to ensure smooth operations, including contributing to meeting club goals and fulfilling specific portfolios as assigned. Active participation in meetings and adherence to club policies are essential parts of the role. Members are also expected to act in the best interests of the club, maintaining confidentiality and addressing any conflicts of interest promptly.
The committee roles are primarily virtual, with optional full virtual attendance available; however, members will also have opportunities to attend in-person events as part of their involvement.

Requirements
Hill College has no requirements for committee members but ideally, we are seeking candidates to have experience in councils/boards, have a sporting background, and have a background in business management.
