IT ISN'T WEAK TO SPEAK
Wellbeing at Hill College is a true commitment on which we stand to acknowledge and ensure our students and staff are supported.
We build our students with resilience, gratitude, and strength. Hill College stands on our values of ‘Students, Education, and Equality’, acknowledging every single student with their learning to support and embrace their learning journey.

Your wellbeing is understood and respected, with our staffing team and expansive programs to support you with acknowledging and facing what you may be experiencing. Our team can direct you in services and people whom professionally assist and encourage you to stay strong.
Hill College offers a counselling program where students, staff and even community can book a meeting with the counselling team to talk about issues they may be facing. Link bellow to book.

Additionally, if you are aware of someone being bullied or harassed, report an issue through the Hill College Issue Report form. The form is strictly confidential to the Head-mastery team. Linked bellow.
WHAT IS WELLBEING?
Wellbeing is the capacity to function fully or effectively in all conditions and circumstances. It is about coping, contributing and thriving in order to live life well.

Wellbeing does not mean being happy all the time. It means being equipped to make the best of every situation; being capable of overcoming adversity and persevering in pursuit of a goal; and being willing to do what we can for others.

Our role is to ensure that our students have the capacity (social, emotional, physical and spiritual resources) to ride life's waves and to thrive when the conditions are favourable; not just making do, or getting by, but soaring further than they expected they could or ever would. It is feeling good, and doing good.

A key element of this is developing a sense of belonging within each student and a feeling of being connected to the community around them.
